Our Story

Jahan is more than just a business; it’s a story of heritage and creativity

We’re Nabela and Naheen Khan — Bengali-American siblings from Brooklyn, raised in a home where scent was part of the everyday. Our father spent years working in the perfume oil industry, and from him, we inherited not just knowledge, but reverence — for the way fragrance can hold memory, meaning, and emotion.

Jahan is our way of continuing his work, while bringing something new into the world — something personal. A space where fragrance meets celebration. Where stories are shared. Where community and beauty come together.

The name itself carries deep meaning. Jahan — the world — was also the name of our grandmother, Nur Jahan. Naming our brand after her allows us to honor both our parents: our father, by continuing his legacy, and our mother, by honoring the woman who raised her.

At Jahan, every experience is rooted in love — for scent, for gathering, for heritage. We focus on event-based offerings because it brings us joy to watch people connect through fragrance — discovering, laughing, remembering.

In sharing these moments, we’re sharing a piece of our world — Jahan — with you.
